| hi there, The three primary districts where Slovenia wines are produced are Primoski, Posavski, and Podravski. One of the most well-known wine-growing regions in Slovenia is Goriska Brda, which can be visited all year-round, although during the spring you can catch the blossoming cherry trees. Also, the largest Slovenian wine cellar is actually located in Goriska Brda, and you can tour this winery and sample some lovely wine. Most wineries do offer tours in English but I would advice on buying a dictionary of Slovenian wine terms online, and familiarity with these terms. This is especially important if you intend on making educated wine purchases to bring home. |
