|  Franschhoek visit hi there, We're planning on touring a few South African villages and I wanted to ask more info on Franschhoek village..what are the main things to do there? |

|  Re: Franschhoek visit hi there, Franschhoek village is a great place to enjoy tastings at wineries, browsing art galleries and antique shops, hiking, and fishing. I would say that the main attractions at Franschhoek village is enjoying a wine tour. Of the more than 40 cellars in and around Franschhoek, there are both small boutique wineries and larger operations complete with farms, homesteads, and vineyards. I would recommend an organized wine tour, as a great way to learn more about the local wines. After sipping on Franschhoek wine through the day, you can select a glass of your favorite local concoction to accompany a gourmet dinner at one of Franschhoek's numerous award-winning restaurants. |
