what do you recommend to be the best way to enjoy a trip to South Dakota? We're thinking of maybe a tour..what do you think of that? thanks

A South Dakota tour is a great way to learn the city's history as well as the state government. You can take a two-hour narrated tour, where you can learn about Pierre's landmarks, including the mouth of the Bad River, the state capitol and much more.

Tours in South Dakota include visits to the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail, which stretches from the Great Plains to the Pacific Northwest.

Beginning August 14, South Dakota will host the 2009 Primal Quest Adventure Race. This 10-day expedition adventure race consists of 600 miles and has teams racing through the Black Hills National Forest, Badlands National Park and the Buffalo Gap National Grasslands
