|  Priorat Wineries from Barcelona Hello, I will be traveling to Barcelona this August and am really interested in making a special trip to Priorat. There are two of us and while Penedes sounds great, we really want to tour at least one winery in Priorat. Any advice anyone has about this would be greatly appreciated! |

| Re: Priorat Wineries from Barcelona Priorat is beautiful, mountainous, rural and rather isolated place with few tourists, which means is a good idea that you know some Spanish or Catalan, otherwise you may have troubles communicating. I'd also say that the cities of Reus and Tarragona are better bases than Barcelona since they are only a 40-minute drive from/to the Priorat, so they're a great base to start a day out in the wineries. |
