Arriving in Barcelona, driving to Valencia, Benicasim

Hi: There will be 2 couples traveling together. We are planning to rent a car or perhaps take the rail to Valencia. We would like to spend a few days there. However we are open to stopping in places along the way to enjoy golf, the beach or the village or city. What places should we stop at and/or stay that would be reasonable for us to have time for in the 10 days that we will be there?

Hi Kathy -

Peniscola's really nice. It's a peninsula about half way in between Valencia and Barcelona. There's a beautiful castle and really nice beaches. If you're into wine, go inland past Tarragona to the wine region of Priorat. It's a little off the beaten path, but the terrain is gorgeous and the wine is superb.
