What is the easiet way to get from Barcelona to Bilbao and can the roundtrip trip be done
in one day?

With only one day I can't recommend anything other than flying. Scour the net for the cheapest one. If you had more days and wanted to spend less money there'd be a few more options, but not for one day, IMO. Good luck.

Yes there are cheap flights Spain to travel from Barcelona, the Catalan region, in north eastern Spain to Bilbao, the charming city in Northern Spain. Catching up a train from Barcelona is another cheapest alternate. Guggenheim in Bilbao is a Mecca for its architectural treasures and the culture is revealed through their songs and food. Have a great holiday.
