Default self catering morzine

Morzine is one of the most popular ski resorts in the French Alps. Just an hour’s drive away from the Geneva Cointrin Airport, Morzine is located right in the heart of Portes du Soleil- the largest ski area in Europe. Ski enthusiasts from all over the world make their way to Morzine every winter owing the excellent skiing facilities here. It is connected with all the other slopes in the area with ski lifts. Morzine is a very beautiful place surrounded with mountains and forests- a haven away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It is a favourite holiday destination not just in winters but also the summer.

Morzine is dotted with charming traditional chalets, which are a favourite accommodation with the skiers. The experience of staying in one of the ski chalets is truly unforgettable. Most of the chalets are fully furnished &with all modern amenities. You can opt to rent a catered or non-catered ski chalet for your stay in Morzine. As the resort is so busy, advance booking your ski chalets ensures that you get the best of the lot.

You can book your ski chalet in Morzine online through the websites of holiday companies. They have a selection of ski chalets ranging from 3 bedroom to 6 bedroom chalets. Check out several different companies so you get the best deal in terms of amenities and rates.

Skiers from every level- to beginners to the most seasoned skiers enjoy the slopes here. The initial slopes are just perfect to learn skiing, no wonder one can see quite a few people mostly kids and women perfecting their skiing skills here. The more challenging slopes at Avoraiz can be reached by the connecting ski lifts from here.

Morzine is a favourite family destination with enough facilities and après ski activities to enjoy for everyone. Nightlife in Morzine is exciting with bars and restaurants that are a perfect meeting place for everyone to share their stories and adventures. There are also quite a few boutiques here where you will enjoy one of a kind shopping experience.

There are enough ski schools and ski lessons available for all age groups. You can register online for a ski lesson. There are also other services like ski hire which is also available online.

There are also snowboarding facilities in Morzine and Morzine has seen unfolding of such glorious events like the grand finale of the first mountain stage of 2003 Tour de France. Stage 17 of the 2006 Tour de France ended in Morzine and the town was the starting point for Stage 18.

In summer the slopes of Morzine are transformed into hiking and biking trails which take the visitors through the amazing natural beauty of the mountains and valleys. There are a number of festivals: Mountain Bike World Championships, Mont Blanc Rally and local fairs that create a warm and welcoming family atmosphere with much to do for everyone.

No matter which season, Morzine is the top destination in the French Alps for amazing chalet holidays, and there are enough activities and adventures here for the whole family to take part in together.

Default Re: self catering morzine

As this is the Spanish forum I thought I'd ask whether anyone knows of good places to ski in Spain.

I know of some, but as I'm not a skier I thought some input from someone with experience of skiing in Spain would be good.
