|  exploring the Swiss countryside by car we'll be flying from North American flights to Switzerland and landing in Zurich which will be our starting point in Switzerland. We'd like to explore the Swiss countryside by car, has anyone done it before? any particular highlights you'd like to share? |

| Re: exploring the Swiss countryside by car The highlights of exploring the Swiss countryside by car will be the charming villages, castles, beautiful lakes, lush valleys, and splendid mountains. If you're new to Switzerland, I suggest doing the Zurich to Geneva trip as it will be one of the easiest portions but will feature some of the most scenic areas of Switzerland. Be aware that to drive on the motorway you'll need a Vignette stuck to your windscreen and remember that in Switzerland you'll be driving on the right. Also, remember that the speed limits are 120km/h on motorways, 80km/h on main roads, and 50km/h inside in towns. |
