Many of Syria's attractions include the Church of St Simon and ruins at Qala’at Samaan. In Damascus you can visit the Umayyad Mosque which is the resting place of the most famous Arab leader Saladin.

You should also visit Syria's second largest city Aleppo which is also packed with museums, tombs, mosques and much more.

Krak des Chevaliers is also one of the the important Syria attractions and it contains the best preserved examples of Crusader art, so worth a visit.
