There is a page dedicated completely to the Tahiti Beaches. Being a beach lover you will be spoiled for choice as the beaches here are particularly stunning. I would recommend you read the article yourself but it offers good advice such as, the best beaches are usually found on the west coast and for something different there is also a black sand beach which im sure would be well worth a visit.

hi, there are few beautiful beaches available in Tahiti but they vary according to their location. The black sand beaches can be seen in the north east cost and white sand beaches can be seen on the south west side of Tahiti. Many of the Tahiti beaches are private and the public beach at Temae adjacent to the Ia Ora Resort is one of the longest beaches and offers good activities. Papara on the south coast and the Papenoo on the north coast are attractive beaches but swimming should be avoided here due it's roughness. But surfing and body surfing can be done. The other good beach is Toahotu and the beach at Tautira offers beachcombing with stunning mountain views, I nearly spent 2 days on all the beaches. hope this helps!

ya, as you said there are hundreds of private beaches available in Tahiti's hotels & resorts and ofcourse you can stay there and enjoy the activities. The Sofitel Tahiti resort is one of the popular resorts and has a private beach. The Sheraton Moorea Lagoon resort which is located between Cook’s Bay and Opunohu Bay is also a best place. The hotel Fare Vai Moana is a small hotel but located on a great beach with an excellent beachside restaurant. So choose one among them and make your booking.hope this helps!
