I am traveling end of this month with my wife to Memphis and we are looking at a week stay. can anyone tell us what events are happening in May.can anyone offer any assistance,any help would be appreciated!!!

One of the most popular events is the Memphis Music Festival or the Beale Street Music Festival. The event celebrates Memphis significant musical heritage where over sixty artists perform over three days at the Tom Lee Park. You can buy advance tickets for $25 or pay around $30 at the door.

Another fun events happening in May are:

* The World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest.

* The Great Southern Food Festival which celebrates southern food cuisine.

* The Sunset Symphony
