|  closest ski resort from Texas I live in Texas -in Houston, to be precise. I'd like to take my family on a ski trip this November and I was wondering where would be nearest to us? |

|  Re: closest ski resort from Texas It depends whether you're flying or driving. If you mean by road then, Taos in New Mexico will be the closest place to you. There are a handful of ski resorts near Taos, with a few more near Santa Fe NM. I believe the closest area that I found was Cloudcroft Ski Area near Alamogordo so that's one suggestion. If you're flying then, you have many more options for finding better ski resorts near Houston such as Salt Lake City, Reno and Denver. All these are pretty convenient for some world-class skiing but it really becomes more of a question of what you are looking for at that point. |
