|  Texas vacation spots I can see what people mean when they say Texas is large! we want to getaway somewhere warm this year so we r considering Texas. What Texas vacation spots would you guys suggest that combine the mix of attractions that the big state has to offer? |

| Re: Texas vacation spots Houston, Dallas and San Antonio are great Texas vacation spots for a family if you want a city-type vacation. These cities boasts many museums, shopping and dining opportunities. For instance, in Dallas you could visit the Dallas World Aquarium and the Six Flags Over Texas theme park in Arlington, and make a stop at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza for an in-depth look at President Kennedy’s life and his tragic 1963 Dallas assassination. For an outdoors type vacation, how about renting a cabin at Garner State Park? It's actually not far from San Antonio. You can enjoy swimming and hiking by day and jukebox dancing and fireside marshmallow roasts by night. |
