| Was thinking about detecting a few beaches this summer, and I was just wondering if you're allowed to detect beaches along the Texas gulf..thought please? thanks |

| Padre is one of the most popular beaches to metal detect in Texas, though only in certain sections such as the Bob Hall Pier area. Having said this, check in first with the reception center to tell you the marker to look for, otherwise, you'll be illegally using your detector. Also, I'd suggest buying the Travel Adventure map of Padre & Mustang Islands from a convenience store like Stripes as it gives you great detail about the ship wrecks along the area, and where loot have been found before. |
