Default My Texas Experience

Hello everyone. A friend of mine lives down there, and although I did not spend a lot of time there, I had a really good time there. I flew into Houston and stayed in the area. We then wound up heading to Galveston Island, which was incredible. We stayed at a Holiday Inn, which was the one ON the beach. The view was incredible. We had a great opportunity to visit a lot of the older mansions, which was really cool as we don't have older houses like that where I'm from. The majority of businesses we went to were right on Seawall Blvd. as it was cool to eat dinner looking out over the ocean. We also went to Comedy Showcase in Houston and had so much fun! I was there in the summer and it was a little too hot for me, but everyone was nice and I had a good time.

Yeah, I've been to Texas in the summer as well (Dallas and Plano, more specifically), and it was HOT. I vividly recall walking to our car after lunch and a tour of The Ballpark in Arlington (back when it was relatively new and hadn't been renamed "Ameriquest Field"...bleh) and thinking that I could very well die right there in the parking lot. Where I'm from the heat is there but the humidity is not, and I had to adjust quickly. I'm sure I'll be back before my time is up ;)
