| We want to travel from Bangkok to Chaing Mai and also Angkor Waton during our vacation. To Chaing Mai, will it be best to get a sleeper train or bus. what about Angkor Wat?...is flying our best bet? |

| To Angkor, I'd say that taking the train to the border and then busing it to Angkor Wat will be the cheapest way to do it, though you'll still have about 7 hours on the road once you reach the border, and the trip will surely be uncomfortable. To Chiang Mai the bus will be cheaper but way too uncomfortable because of the bad roads. I personally think that train and planes are great, and best if you can accommodate it and they will save you a lot of time. I'd also suggest not to try to do too much in your trip, or you'll spend your whole time on planes and trains and buses and won't get to experience the magic of either Thailand and Cambodia. |
