| From my experience, Bangkok and Hong Kong share some similarities as they both offer great shopping opportunities, though that's about it. Hong Kong is the most modern of the two and the most touristy since it used to be a British colony. I find Bankok more fascinating than Honk Kong, though transportation in Bangkok isn't as great so, you'll find more difficult to get around. Overall, if you're traveling first time to Asia, I think that Hong Kong will be less of a culture shock than Bangkok because it's very westernised. |
