going to Thailand in April

hey guys, we're looking to book flights to Thailand pretty soon..we intend to go there this April but we're still deciding whether to head to the capital or Chiang Mai? what do you think?

If you're planning to travel to Thailand in April be in the know that the Songkran festival (Thailand's water festival) will happen between the 13th and 15th of April.

This festival happens in most places in Thailand like Chian Mai and Phuket, though I'd suggest heading to Chiang Mai because of the street-party atmosphere and the animal parades of elephants, which are decorated with colorful chalk designs.

There'll be lots of water throwing about so if you don't fancy getting wet you may want to skip these dates:)
