| I've been trying to think of a different way to see Asia and in particular Thailand and have decided to join a charity trek into the Thailand jungle for the charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Has anyone done a charity trek before? Is this a good way to see the 'real' Thailand away from all the tourists and tourist traps? I'm really excited about this trek and hopefully it will be a really unique experience in aid of a very worthy cause .... |

| Junior Member | Hi HollyA I never take a trek for charity before but it sounds great! I think it twill surely be a good way for you to explore Thailand in other perspective and away from touristy places. When will it take place? |

| I would check that charity organization back ground. Thailand that kind charity moneys, often goes somewhere else than charity. Actually its not only Thailand problem that "charity" organizations cheating. I have seen in europe too, that charity company give like1-5% profit to charity and rest go somewhere else.. |
