Hello,

My mum and I are planning to travel to Bangkok in early next year, have anyone been there and would like to advice us some hotels in Bangkok.

By the way, where is the best place to go shopping?

Two areas you shouldn't miss during your trip to Bangkok is the city's Chinatown and Siam Square.
Chinatown features tempting restaurants as well as a variety of goods ranging from everyday necessities to electronic items and jewelery.

Then, you have the popular Siam Square where you can enjoy a variety of high-end shopping malls including the Siam Discovery Center and the Siam Center which are extremely popular draws for the fashionable set and where the nice hotels are.

Also, visit the Weekend Market located on Phahonyothing Road in the northern part of the city, is an experience not to be missed as it boasts over 8,000 stalls that sell antiques, silks and handicrafts.

there are many places to shopping there, siam paragon, central world, emporium (those all hi-end department stores but if both of you wanna puchase something different like a local, i recommended "jatujak market" - weekend market, there's a lot of many cool stuffs and all the price is negotiatable! :) for the hotel i would like to recommended you the new boutique hotel in bangkok - tenface bangkok - that's a very new one with cool design and reasonable price (you could go anywhere i've recommened by sky-train from there, it's very convenience for you as well.)

There are so many hotels in Bangkok but plan for the trip and book ahead before you go..

I would say to stay near the river around silom suriwongse side so can get to the boat and Bts easily and not get stuck in traffic.
