|  Backpacking in Thailand we're planning backpacking in Thailand and we wanted to ask if you know of popular area amongst backpackers that are also not too far from the main attractions? |

| Re: Backpacking in Thailand hi there, Khao San Road is a popular area for backpackers in Bangkok, and the area is full of options for cheap hotels, and if one or two is full, there will still be a place to stay. In fact, the location of Khao San Road is what makes it popular amongst backpackers, as the area is close to the main attractions. Also, some hostels will arrange walking tours of nearby temples, and this can be a great way to get to know fellow travelers. |

| Re: Backpacking in Thailand A second adress is of course Koh Samui and phuket for the nightlife, Koh Chang to relax and Chiang Mai to discover the Thai culture. You`ll find lots of cheap accomodation allover if you go on your own and book from what you see :) Check out a place and book online ;) Most of the time its way cheaper Best regards |
