What type of accommodation in Thailand would you recommend for a party of 6. we're wondering our options and any suggestions are appreciated..thanks

Villas in Thailand are a great option if you are a family or a large group as in your case, as you'll get a bit of extra living space and the convenience of a refrigerator.

Also, some Thailand villas are part of resorts or hotels, and they allow guests to use the facilities of the hotel. These are great choices, as a pool and restaurants will be close by.

In all, I would say, the benefit of a privately owned Thailand holiday villa is definitely price. You may be able to negotiate a great deal with the owner directly, especially for a last-minute vacation, and cooking for yourself can help you stay within your vacation budget; though food in Thailand is available cheaply, it's nice to have extra cash for equipment rentals and other extras.

Yea, Villas or houses that you can rent for a month or so. You normally get good deals if you bargain a bit! Six people should rent a villa with pool and other nice extras cause its very affordable - in comparison to the very expensive hotels and guesthouses over here ;)
