myth or fact: airfare cheaper on Wednesdays?

is it true or a myth that airfare tickets cheaper on Wednesdays? I am trying to figure out why airfare ticket prices go up and down when I select a different flight time, and day..any help understanding this? thanks!

I've heard that on Wednesday at midnight, airfare ticket prices drop but I can't very this though!

One thing is for sure though, when you book your flight matters. During the week travel airfare is meant to be cheaper but not during working hours so, book the flights in the evening, somehow is cheaper. Also, getting an early and late flights are always cheaper.

The next thing you can do is call the airline directly to check how many seats they have at the lower fare on each flight.
