| According to the US Embassy, they recommend registering only in high risk areas, so I presume most of Europe won't qualify, though they have been travel warnings issued all across Europe over the last weeks. The US Embassy also suggest to tell a relative or friend about your travel itinerary and hotel plans, and leaving a copy of your passport number with them. Also, I would add that you'd also need to register with your embassy if you were to relocate abroad but not for work or holiday purposes. Hope that answers your question:) |
