best cities for shopaholics

hello, i am planning a shopping trip with a few girlfriends for next year, and I wanted to get some ideas from all of you..what's your fav city to shop in?

I love shopping in Oregon because no matter where you are in the state, there is no sales tax free. I love the shopping experience in Portland, and in particular, the Portland Saturday Market which has to be one of the best open air markets in the states.

I was in Portland Saturday Market last Monday to attend the "Festival of the Last Minute". If you don't know about the Festival of the Last Minute, it's basically a cool event featuring over four hundred vendors selling everything from arts and crafts to homemade food and other gifts for holiday giving.
