|  Spring Break volunteer work around the world I want to do something different this spring break so I may take up a volunteer role this year to help street children..is anyone else planning to do volunteer work this Spring Break? what are your experiences living with host families? |

|  Re: Spring Break volunteer work around the world I did volunteer work during my sabbatical year and it was the best thing I ever did...it's real rewarding helping out those less fortunate. Many of my college friends will be also doing volunteer work this Spring Break also! As far as I am aware there are plenty of volunteer opportunities overseas with United Way, which has run Spring Break volunteer programs called Storm Corps, where, much like Habitat for Humanity programs, volunteers aid in rebuilding communities torn apart by infamous hurricanes Ike, Katrina, and Rita along the Gulf Coast. |
