going to Great Britain this spring

hey gusy,

we're finally going to the UK this year, in April actually, and we can't wait to be there. Just like another poster mentioned, England seems like a wonderful place to be!

We'll be 4 weeks there visiting England, Scotland and Wales, I wanted to ask about castles over there and which ones are open to the public..any other ideas welcome..thanks

There are quite a few castles in the UK that you can visit, and many of them can be found along the English-Scottish border.

In my opinion, Ireland has the best and most castles. For instance, Irish castles like Cahir Castle in County Tipperary, Carrickfergus Castle in County Antrim, and King John’s Castle County Limerick are all well-preserved examples of castles built in the Middle Ages.

Having said this, England and Scotland has some of the most popular ones such as Edinburgh Castle in Scotland, Leeds Castle in England, and Windsor Castle, which is today the largest residential castle in the world!
