UK

The UK is home to England, Scotland, and Wales. Getting around the UK is not a problem with the London Tube, cabs, and even cruises around the UK. England is home to the London Eye, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and the Stone Henge. Wales holds its own cultural traditions but is great for sightseeing. Glasgow is the largest city and is a major cultural center in Scotland.

Default booking a flight

this isn't country specific, but I want to visit a friend in the upcoming months who is in the UK. I have never traveled abroad before, but before I blow a lot of cash on a ticket, I want to get the best deal possible. that means, i don't care when the flight leaves. i can schedule my life around the cheapest possible flight. does anyone know how to do this? every site out there so far needs me to put in a date, and i don't feel like going one by one all through the next four months. thanks.

Thy cheapflights.com. You can search normally by date or you can search by best deals which will just find the cheapest flight and then give you a window of dates you can use the ticket on. For example, I just did a quick search and found a flight from NYC to London for $275. There might be some weird fine print things like massive taxing or something, so look carefully, but you might find something there.

Where are you flying from? I know that the British Airways website now provides the cost of flying each day (over a two week period), so you can vary your dates accordingly.

Many of the airlines websites offer good rates nowadays.. travel agents don't tend to receive commissions from them, so have to add on $$ to the basic cost..
