UK The UK is home to England, Scotland, and Wales. Getting around the UK is not a problem with the London Tube, cabs, and even cruises around the UK. England is home to the London Eye, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and the Stone Henge. Wales holds its own cultural traditions but is great for sightseeing. Glasgow is the largest city and is a major cultural center in Scotland.

Yes this exactly the problem i am having. So far it seems there are no ferries avaiable at all but there must be a way! I have written to a few tourist boards and maybe they can provide us with more information. In the meantime i will keep on looking.

Oh i should add.. from Stonehenge you can make your way to Liverpool where you will get the Ferry over to Dublin in Ireland. Then once you have made your way North to Belfast you can get the ferry from there to Stranraer which is in the South west of Scotlandand continue your journey North until your at your next ferry destination in Aberdeen.

that sounds perfect! if i am correct i am getting my worldmap in today.. ....so i can start routing.. ....My guess is that when there is no ferry at all there must be a boat anyways, maybe to ask them to take me? i think there will be a good chance, depending on my story that they will take me to Greenland and Canada for free or a small amount.. Luckily it will take about 6 weeks to get to and finish Iceland in the first place so plenty of time to find alternatives.. :) Update: Just to give a general update on my trip. Half of the equipment needed has arrived today, there is some special stuff to order for which i maybe need help as i am not planning to ask my family for help since this is against my motives i am hoping to get this help from the forum, but more later on that topic. So far the general outline of the plan is to do a trip around the world with sufficient equipment to survive and to record and documentate my journey. When i arrive at my destinations i am hoping to learn the survival skills needed from the locals in the area i am. When my trip arount the world is done, i will take the same route but with limited equipment, testing the survival skills i've learned in the past to survive on the earth. The departing date of 1 June has been delayed due to problems with my new passport at the embassy, but i am expecting to depart early june from Cambridge by train to Stonehenge where my adventure on foot will begin. - Stef - Ps. Also again i want to thank everyone for helping me so far, it prooves that there are still good people in the world today, so not all hope is lost.

Update: On Tuesday i will put my belongings available on eBay UK as i am living in the UK at the moment. What will go away? obviously some things mean something to me and therefore i'll keep a little bit, but what is going away is as followed: Maybe, very maybe my guitar :) but basically my life includes a 32" Tv, some mobile phones, computer games, 2 computer systems, DVD's.. maybe even a Vertu Mobile phone.. ...all of my wardrobe which is huge!.. ...and some Miscellaneous things. ..The money this raises will sponsor me in undertaking my journey home, and will only take care of the boat fares and minimal supplies and equipment on the way as i am will live of nature and kindness of the people that i'll meet on the way.. The beginning of my journey is only about 2/3 weeks away what if it would be my choice i would of started already.. ...i am looking forward at what lays ahead with regretting only the fact that i haven't dared to do it sooner.. ~ A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step ~ Confucius Ps. Have a good weekend everybody.. :)

| Hi Stefan, I just tested this little video camera last night called a "flip" http://www.theflip.com/. You might consider something like this for a simple to way document where you go. It holds 60 minutes of video and plugs into a usb port for downloading. The thing I like best is it weights about as much as a cell phone and a similar shape/size so its very compact. ohh and its only like 110.00USD.

I tried to order the Flip but they only ship in the US (and it also NTSC i guess). I found the Flip Ultra 60 min. on Amazon.co.uk for much more then in the States but will buy it because it is very handy due to it's accesoires, with which i could do lot's of nice shots with but these are not out yet in Europe and not orderable from the states. Is there anyone from the states? who is willing to buy the accesoires and send them to the UK with special delivery so it is here in time. I am willing to pay for all the cost, and could send the money trough Western Union in good trust before receiving the goods. The goods that i need are as followed: 1. Waterproof case "The Flip" 2. Action Mount "The Flip" 3. Protection pouch "The Flip" I think everything including postage will reach maybe USD 100,- max. which is about GBP 60,00 i believe. Please message me if you think you can help out! In the mean time i ordered the actual "The Flip" camera here in the UK.

The Flybook company is willing to help me out by making a custom made laptop and send it to the UK for me. I will call them them Monday to pay for the item and extras and hope it arrives soon. I got so far already, and it is just amazing what one can achieve on a random forum on the net.
