UK The UK is home to England, Scotland, and Wales. Getting around the UK is not a problem with the London Tube, cabs, and even cruises around the UK. England is home to the London Eye, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and the Stone Henge. Wales holds its own cultural traditions but is great for sightseeing. Glasgow is the largest city and is a major cultural center in Scotland.

Hi all, I'm from South Africa, and planning to visit some friends in December this year. To cut a long story short, what would be the best (read: most cost & time effective) way to get from Newcastle to Worcester? I've heard one can fly to Birmingham & then drive to Worcester (distance from B to W?)? What sort of times/distances/costs are involved? Any info would be much appreciated. thanks for your time in advance. Kind Regards Mike

| It only takes around an hour and 15 minutes to drive from Newcastle to Worcester depending on traffic. Rush hour is usually between 8am and 9am and from 5pm-6pm. It is only a 70 mile journey so the best way to make the trip is by road or by train. Train tickets can be very cheap of you are booking in advance but if you dont have time to book early then going my car is the most cost effective. | Wow, thanks for the quick reply! That makes life easier...thought it was going to be more like a 5 hour drive - or a mission flight! Will have to give my mate a kick & tell him to get his facts straight :) Kind Regards M |

Which Newcastle are you visiting? There are two, Newcastle on Tyne and Newcastle under Lyne. One is about 200 miles from Worcester, one is much closer. If N-on-T then plane to Birmingham then train to Birmingham New Street and out to Worcester. If N-under-L, much easier and explained below!

Newcastle on Tyne...thought it wasn't going to be easy. Is it possible to travel by train the whole way (overnight)? cheaper than flying & train? Thanks for the info - much appreciated!
