Thumbs up UK airport security leads to increased rail travel

I'll admit I saw this coming. Travelers can only take so much hassle before it becomes too much to bear or forces them to find other means. We'll see how long this increase benefits the rail system in the UK. I myself think it's not hurting anyone to be utilizing the more eco-friendly form of transportation. Sure, some will revert to air travel when it becomes more convenient again, but maybe some will enjoy rail travel so much they'll continue to use it.

I can imagine that rail travel is becoming more popular but there are still going to be the people that don't want to spend all that time traveling as opposed to touring.

As a referring travel agent I've noticed an increase in people who are interested in purchasing rail passes in the UK but I hadn't given it much thought. It certainly makes sense for some people to seek other means of travel.

Thanks for pointing this out.
