Angry required travel insurance

hi, bought a cheap ticket online with thomas cook-canadian affair, think its a charter. there was box that said i had to have proof of health or travel insurance. blew past it too quick. but that i had to show proof later before i could travel.

i have travelled for 20 years and never heard or dealt with this. anyone know what this is about???

Default Re: required travel insurance

hi there,

I have just been to the Canadian Affair site and looked at the FAQ's and I cant see anywhere it says you're required a travel insurance.

This is what they say and I quote:

"Neither Canadian Affair nor its airline partners Air Transat and Thomas Cook can accept responsibility for missed connections and will not refund any costs incurred for a missed flight. We advise that Canadian Affair Travel Insurance (which covers missed departures on connecting flights in the UK) be taken out. If you have taken insurance with another company please check with the issuer. Canadian Affair sell comprehensive travel insurance at great rates…please call one of our sales consultants for more details."

Hope this helps
