UK

The UK is home to England, Scotland, and Wales. Getting around the UK is not a problem with the London Tube, cabs, and even cruises around the UK. England is home to the London Eye, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and the Stone Henge. Wales holds its own cultural traditions but is great for sightseeing. Glasgow is the largest city and is a major cultural center in Scotland.

Default Interesting travel stories from 2006

I could post this in a variety of forums since these stories come from all over the world, but my favorite story might be the last one from Cambridge, England. Close second goes to the fun tale from Mexico City involving a woman and her infant grandson.

Example story:
Quote:
A 20-year-old man was fined $279 for what a perplexed cop said "must be some redneck thing" — tossing a 60-pound pig over a counter at the Holiday Inn Express in West Point, Miss. No one was hurt in last month's incident, including the porker.

Amusing link Joe! Good find....it's amazing what people think they'll get away with or at least try to.

I like the story about the "unpleasant meetings between hikers and cattle" in Switzerland and the tips the Swiss Hiking Federation was forced to produce.
