Buckingham Palace tour

:)we are finally booking a vacation to London for end of next month and I can't wait to get there..we're planning to tour all the main attractions and Buckingham Palace..in fact, I wanted to ask about the palace. Does the Queen live at the Palace and what does a Buckingham Palace tour involves? any ideas?

hi there,

The Queen doesn't actually reside at Buckingham Palace unfortunately.

A tour in Buckingham Palace includes visiting the State Room, the Grand Staircase, the Throne Room, and the Picture Gallery that features many world-renowned works of art.

If you are traveling next month, you won't be able to enjoy a tour of Buckingham Palace, as the palace is only open to the public in the summer months.

Having said this, you can still see the Changing of the Guard, which happens once a day at 11:30am, all year long.
