| Hi there, Its a long drive from Moab to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. It takes 5 and half hours and there aren't a lot of gas stations along the way so keep the tank full. The Bright Angel is one of the cheapest hotels in the Grand Canyon Village and is situated right on the Rim with fantastic views so I would recommend that. Hope this Helps VacationBuddy |

| To drive from Moab to Grand Canyon South Rim it takes about 6 hours straight driving time. South from Moab on Hwy #191 through southern Utah. A short distance south of the Arizona border, Hwy #191 joins Hwy. #160 which you will turn right - west - and travel across the Navajo Reservation through Kayenta and Tuba City, AZ. A short distance west of Tuba City, Hwy #160 joins Hwy #89 - you turn left - South - and travel to Cameron, AZ. Here you turn right - west - onto Hwy #64 which will take you right into the Grand Canyon National Park, south rim. Hope this helps. You will be traveling through some beautiful country and if you have the time, should spend time stopping at these locations. Bluff, UT has some wonderful prehistoric cliff dwellings and petroglyphs in the area, if you want you are able to take Hwy #163 from Bluff throught Monument Valley. You will have a great trip and see some wonderful country, so enjoy your visit and thank you for spending time in our beautiful part of the U.S. If you would like more information on this part of your trip you might want to visit a travel blog that give more in detail information traveltothewest.com |
