|  Re: Utah ski vacation hi there, If you're planning a Utah ski vacation, Alta is one of the few remaining skiers-only resorts in North America. Alta has a laid-back old fashioned ski area ambiance, breathtaking powder and amazing steeps. If you are an extreme skier, you'll enjoy the Baldy Shoots and Catherine’s Area. However, the best kept secret about Alta is its fabulous beginner area at Albion Basin. If you are taking a Utah Ski Vacation with snowboarders, Alta shares a joint-pass with the neighboring Snowbird, which allows snowboarders. Hope this helps Vacationbuddy
