trip to the US for a month

G'day folks! Im an Aussie..i've been dying to go to the US for years and next year my dream will come true. I'd like to do self-guided, seeing the West, South, Northeast and parts of the Midwest. How much will I need for a month long trip in your opinion?

If your're planning to spend a month in the US, your best bet and also the cheapest way to be in the US is to hire a car or RV and plan to so camping in one of the national parks since most national parks in the states have showers, toilets etc.

If camping isn't your thing, I think you'd be better off visiting one region rather than trying to see the whole of the country in only a month.

What region you choose depends upon what you're coming to the USA to see. Is it culture, food, history, current events, museums, scenery?
