north or south shore in Lake Tahoe

we want a relaxing a quite vacation this year, ideally in Lake Tahoe somewhere not too busy...where are the best cottage rentals in the Lake Tahoe region located ?

Most of the best and most up scale cottage, cabins and condo rentals in the Lake Tahoe are located along the south shore, though they are price, if your budget isn't suited for luxury cabin rentals, you can still enjoy the same views and resort offerings by renting one of the moderately priced options.

The north shore of Lake Tahoe has cottages that you can rent out also, and it's the quieter area in Lake Tahoe without a doubt.

Having lived at Incline Village (North Shore), I can assure you that both Incline and the North & South Shores on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe are more expensive but not as hectic as South Shore or the California side (like Tahoe City).
