Hi, I and my younger daughter of 5 are going to Vermont this August. I have heard that Vermont is a great place for relaxing and sightseeing. Can anyone tell me about Vermont attractions and if there is something interesting for my 5 yr old daughter?

Vermont is an excellent place having plenty of must see destinations including Bennigton, Burlington, Brattleboro, Killington, Manchester, Stowe, Okemo, Woodstock and lots more. In summer there are other activities like fishing, hiking and golf courses that’ll never keep you away from the holiday mood. Vermont attractions as well has many places of interest for children such as Ben and Jerry’s Ice cream factory in Waterbury and the Vermont Teddy Bear Museum is a favorite place for children.

You are right vermont is a GREAT place to take your 5 year old daughter. If she enjoys bike riding there are MANY great places to rent and go for a scenic ride in the Lake Champlain Area. Another good choice is one of the many "new england-y" farms or maple houses all over vermont. Below are a few links that will help you find a few destinations. Good luck hope you guys have a wonderful time!

How about Mount Snow? Its the most southern of the Vermont resort areas, it includes lots of shopping, its tucked right in the middle of the Green Mountains and is also home to the largest lake in Vermont, Lake Whitingham. There are swimming areas, picnic areas, boat, canoe and kyak rentals. The area also has working tourist farm activities, horseback riding, biking and a ton more! Google the Mount Snow Valley chamber for more information.
