| Hi, In late spring we will be taking a deserved vacation in Vermont and I am intending in doing a bit of fishing there and maybe teach my kid a little angling..I was wondering if we need permits down there, and if so, where to get them and how much they cost...any other suggestions welcome! thanks |

| hi there, Yes, you will need a permit which you can get from the Vermont Fish and Wildlife agency, and licenses cost around $41 for non-residents, although under 15's don't need one. However, if you are purchase a 7 day fishing permit it is ony $30. Also, while there I would recommended to hire one of the many Vermont fishing guides to show you the best places for Vermont fishing. For instance, the Orvis Company in Manchester Vermont has a fly-fishing school and the fishing guides there give three-day courses weekly from April to October. |
