can't find international flights to Vietnam

I am finding hard locating flights from the US that fly directly to Vietnam? why is this? any ideas where to look or how find direct flights?

There are only a handful of airports in Vietnam that accept international flights from oversees, though all direct nonstop international flights to Vietnam are from countries in Asia, so you won't find any from the US.

There are airlines that fly from San Francisco, the United Arab Emirates, and Frankfurt, but these flights stop somewhere along the way, generally in Asia.

Also, there are airlines from Europe and North America that have connecting service to Tan Son Nhut International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City from places like Frankfurt, Paris, and San Francisco.
