hi there,

Vietnam has a good transportation system that include buses, trains and motorbikes. Rental car is another option but I would only recommended if you are confident you can handle the busy roads of Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh City top attractions include the Reunification Palace and the War Remnants Museum. In addition to Ho Chi Minh City, you can also check out spots such as the ancient capital of Hue and Vietnam beaches in the southern part of the country.

Hope this helps

Hi manolojim,

Ho Chi Minh City is the largest city of Vietnam and has many attractions to visit including Cu Chi tunnels, Saigon water park, Vung Tau, Reunification palace, Ben Thanh market & Notre Dame cathedral. You can explore a lot of Ho Chi Minh attractions within 2 days with the help of an English speaking guide.

Getting around Ho Chi Minh by bus is very cheap and a number of buses depart from and arrive at a variety of stations around the city. Cyclos and motorbikes are also quite cheap and available to rent by hourly basis. Trains run throughout Vietnam including service between Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi and other major cities. You can't find any self-drive car hire in Ho Chi Minh City, only you can hire a car with a driver. If you like to have a convenient & comfortable tour then hire a car and go ahead. Or book Ho Chi Minh city tours online and explore the Ho Chi Minh attractions. Have a nice trip.

The major attractions in Ho Chi Minh City ( Saigon) is the Re-Unification Palace, the Central Post Office, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Jade Emperor Temple and the Ben Thanh market.

The famous Cu Chi underground tunnel system to experience how the Viet Cong lived and fought during the American War was located in the outskirt of the city which is around 50 km from the center. It is fine to visit both of them in one day tour. Last time when I travel to Vietnam, I took 1 day city tour and Cu Chi Tunnel. It's a very nice trip!
