Default virginia weather

I thinking about going to Massanutten, Virginia at the end of August, beginning of September. What will the weather be like?

Personally I've never been to Massanutten but it looks like the average temp at that time is mid 80s. I'm not sure where you're from either but I wouldn't pack a jacket :)

Thanks for the info! I'm from NY and thought it might be cooler in the mountains.

The weather is sometimes cool, sometimes absolutely gorgeous. Massanutten is a pretty spot. Lots of color in October when the leaves change. This year has been gorgeous weather.

I've been to Massanutten in the late Summer, It is very warm then. There are a lot of things to see while you are there that aren't too far to drive. Nearby is Luray Caverns and Natural Bridge. I recommend these scenic sites. There are also wineries all over too.

Virginia is always crazy humid until late September. In the mountains though, the temp is more bearable due to the breezes and altitude.

Question Re: virginia weather

I will be in Virginia starting Sept. 25. I will be an outdoor wedding. Will I need a coat or some kind of wrap?
