Because of the states rich history, some of the best things to do in Virginia include visits to historical locations, Civil War memorials, museums, and tours of authentic southern plantations. Some cities you might want to visit are Jamestown, Fredericksburg, Richmond, Charlottesville, and Alexandria that sits just across the river from Mt. Vernon. Virginia Beach is by far, one of the most popular beaches in Virginia with its miles of beachfront bordered by the Atlantic. As far as the weather goes, December and January see average temperatures ranging from 30 to 50 degrees, so pack accordingly. |
