|  Day trips My husband & I will be in Salem VA Feb 10 thru 13th. We would like to take day trips on the 11th & 12th of Feb. We are in our 70's so don't care to hike, etc. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks for your help. |

| Re: Day trips Hi there, If you are looking for day trips to some of Virginia's most historic towns I can suggest a Monticello day trip. Monticello is the former home of Thomas Jefferson and it is located in Charlottesville. Also, the town of Bedford in Central Virginia is where you will find the National D-day Memorial. Also, if you like golf, Virginia is an excellent place for golfing, home to many world-class golf courses. |
