Virginia

Virginia is for lovers is what many locals are fond of saying in Virginia. Relive history here by attending a Civil War Reenactment, or visit the Museum of the Confederacy, home to the first White House of the Confederacy. For theme park enthusiasts, Virginia is also home to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg.

Post Virginia Beach

The source of the slogan "Virginia is for lovers" is from Virginia Beach, VA. The beach may not be up there with Hawaii and the Caribbean but they people there make it worth it. Virginia Beach is not quite a city but not quite a small town either. The best place to go of course is the boardwalk and the beach where you can go surfing and body boarding in the refreshing Virginia water.

After a day of swimming you can hit the Virginia nightlife on the boardwalk and party the night away. There are many clubs and bars on the strips for every kind of person. If partying is not your thing check out the various mom and pop shops on the board walk where you can buy anything from slippers to beach towels to any kind of food. Virginia Beach is a nice escape from cities like Washington D.C. and Richmond both only 2-3 hours away. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

So what kind of a crowd can I expect at these clubs? Are there a variety of clubs? Or are they all pretty much the same, it's just a matter of finding which one's more poppin?

I've experienced the nightlife at the beach once and the crowd is pretty young. Good for some dancing but for more of an older crowd maybe hit up Norfolk. That's where some of my Friends and I ended up. Definitely more of an older crowd. Music was a bit better at the Beach but I guess it just depends who you want to party with.

You don't have to go all the way to Norfolk for that. If you like Karaoke, try Wanna Bs on Virginia Beach Blvd. There are a lot of other places all up the blvd too.
