Washington DC Washington DC is the heartbeat of the entire United States nation. Attractions here aren't hard to come by, it's getting it all into one trip that's the problem. Stop by the National Mall and see the Declaration of Independence at the National Archives. Sit at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Walk along the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Enjoy all the US Capitol has to offer.

Hey, I'm going to Philly in about a month, anybody from the DC area know of good spots in Philly? I'll be downtown, but without a vehicle, so anywhere close to downtown would be great. Thanks. p.s. recommended Philly cheese steak places are encouraged.

Hi Cliff, I don't live in DC but I did live in good ole' Philly for a year as an intern. See the Liberty Bell if you never have. I think it is worth checking out and it's right downtown. Also in the downtown area are a myriad of cheesesteak spots. I clearly remember "Cosmi's" as the best place to get cheesesteak smeared with all the cheese whiz you are craving. There are a few rivals downtown but Cosmi's is the best- you won't be dissapointed. Let me know if you are curious about anything else to see/do. Hope that helps!

Thanks kaci, I'll check out Cosmi's. I'm going to be doing some work there during the day, so I won't have a lot of time, but I was just interested in knowing of good places to eat, any cool parks, unique stores only found in Philly. Just local favorite places I guess.

| I will have to contact my Philly person for a detailed listing...i have been to so many cities this years i lose track of what venues are in what cities... I DO know the absolute best place to go in Philly (a place I called home when i was there), was 32 degrees lounge..if you like the VIP style lounge, this is a shoe-in...if you do go, make sure you say hello to Ira and let him know Ed from INVEGASmagazine gave you the referral.

I live right outside of Philly. Things to do there that are fun include: Visiting both pats and genos steaks to see which is better walking along South street in the evening Fairmont park is huge Boathouse row is beautiful lit up at night the japanese house is a great site there are tons of historic sites the art museum is world class and often has evening events eat in chinatown, or try Italian in South Philly, ask your hotel concierge, and if you are there on a gmae day and can get them go see the Flyers play hockey or the Eagles play ball, Philly has great fans!!!!!
