Default where to stay?!

We are a family of 5, with 3 children (10, 14, 16) coming to the city of 4 days from the uk.

Teens want to obviously shop, wishing to visit the Whitehouse and also the Space Centre.

Our biggest worry is safety. We would like to stay on the suburbs (somewhere leafy!) in a house of some sort as we wish to self cater.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. We will have a car so traveling round is not a problem.

Also can anyone recommend any outlet malls/villages we could visit - teens love Hollister and Abercrombie and Fitch. Many thanks!

Default Re: where to stay?!

hi there,

Some of the best areas in Washington DC are Dupont Circle, Downtown, Convention Center and Capitol Hill.

Some self-catering accomodation I can suggest which are family oriented include:

- Washington Suites Alexandria
- Grand Hyatt Washington DC

These two choices, prices start from around $90 but do check before you book.

I can read you have a car but one thing I would suggest it is to use the metro as much as you can to move around in DC because of traffic and parking.

Hope this helps
