Washington DC

Washington DC is the heartbeat of the entire United States nation. Attractions here aren't hard to come by, it's getting it all into one trip that's the problem. Stop by the National Mall and see the Declaration of Independence at the National Archives. Sit at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Walk along the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Enjoy all the US Capitol has to offer.

Default Flight Restrictions.

Due to enhanced security measures most liquids, gels, lotions and other items of similar consistency will not be permitted in carry-on baggage. These types of items must be packed in your checked baggage.

Liquids, gels and lotions can be purchased beyond the checkpoint but must be disposed of before boarding the aircraft.

Exceptions: Baby formula and breast milk if a baby or small child is traveling; prescription medicine with a name that matches the passenger’s ticket; up to 8 oz. of liquid or gel low blood sugar treatment and up to 4 oz. of non-prescription liquid medications.

See TSA | Transportation Security Administration for current details

cliff_rancho,

No, you should definitely bring it if it's necessary but you'll have to put it with your checked luggage. I would recommend that you also put it in some type of ziploc or spill proof bag so your clothes don't get lotion all over them.

If you don't have any luggage to check in, then your best bet is to buy it where ever you travel.

Have a great trip!

That's going to make it really tough to pack? I guess you have to buy those items while on vacation and throw them away after the trip?

Not really. You're still able to pack your liquids like your lotions, shampoos and whatever else in your checked baggage. Like I told cliff rancho, just put them in a ziploc bag. Personally, I like my own lotions and shampoos and the last thing I want to do on vacation is hunt for my toiletries.
