|  Where to stay in Seattle Hi fellow forum people. Was wondering if anyone has tips relating to the best areas to stay in Seattle? Also, if there are any specific hotel recommendations, would appreciate that as well. Have never been to the Emerald City, so I'm not sure where to base myself. Any info is kindly appreciated. |

|  staying in Seattle I'd say to stay in the Downtown area as it is a pretty compact area to explore by foot or bus. When looking at hotels you can get an idea of where they are by how far they are from the heart of downtown. For instance, if you are in a budget, the South Lake Union neighborhood which is on the outskirts of the downtown area is a great area with lots of inexpensive hotels that offer free shuttle services to the heart of downtown.
